About Us

Our farm is co-owned by J. Ben (J.B.) and Melissa Edmondson.  They have two children, J.R. Edmondson and Caroline Hoover. J.R. lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota with his fiancée Hayley, where he works as a commodity broker for ADM. Caroline lives in Columbus, Ohio with her husband John, where she attends law school at Ohio State University.

J.B. and Melissa previously farmed with J.B.’s parents Ben R. and Barbara Edmondson, and uncle Mike and aunt Maralee Edmondson, who all still live on the farm.

Our family has a long and proud history with Purdue. J.R. and Caroline are fifth generation Edmondson family Purdue Agriculture graduates.

We utilize the latest seed genetics in a corn/soybean rotation, and we use no-till farming practices to conserve fuel and machinery expense, to reduce soil erosion, and to improve yields.  Our focus is on working to be good neighbors and stewards of the land and environment.

In this volatile farm economy, we pride ourselves on our ability to maintain good relationships with our suppliers and landowners through good business practices and attention to detail.  We are always excited to discuss new opportunities, either with potential seasonal employees or with landowners.
